Achieve your GVC and A2 CofC
with Flying Movies
Flying Movies is delighted to offer the new pilot qualifications, both the General Visual Line of Sight Certificate ("GVC") and the A2 Certificate of Competency ("A2CofC"). This is all in compliance with the new regulations coming into force from 31st December 2020. You can train to get these new qualifications right now.

In addition we offer a course which will award you both qualifications with only a slight difference in the course content.

Flying Movies is not an NQE or RAE and has teamed up with Consortiq, a Recognised Assessment Entity ("RAE"), to be able to issue your GVC or A2 CofC on the successful completion of the course.

If you currently hold a Permission for Commercial Operations ("PfCO") and want to convert to a GVC, Flying Movies can also offer conversion training leading to certification.

At the moment, all our courses are held via one of the free videoconference platforms including the examination. For the GVC, once you have completed your operations manual the flight assessments are carried out at our flying sites on Romney Marsh and in East Sussex. We are able to arrange alternate flying locations to suit your location. For your safety, strict social distancing applies during the flight assessments.

Our schedule of courses into 2021 is shown below. If you would like to book one of these courses give us a call or drop us an e-mail. If you would like a bespoke course tailored to your or your company's needs, we can arrange that for you. Its good to talk!

Course details and pricing

The course is a two-day virtual ground school, taking students through the sylabus mandated by the CAA. After completing the sylabus on day two, we test the knowledge through a series of multiple choice exam questions. You receive the result on the same day. Flight assessments are scheduled following successful completion of the ground school to allow time for you to develop your operations manual. When you are successful you will receive your GVC and/or A2CofC qualification directly from Consortiq, our partner RAE.

A2 CofC courses are priced at £199 and GVC courses start at £899 (all prices inclusive of VAT). The A2 CofC and GVC combined course starts at £899, (same price as the standalone GVC), so please contact us by phone or e-mail to make a booking for our next course. Good luck!

Our current GVC schedule is;

  • 14th and 15th December 2020
  • 12th and 13th January 2021
  • 23rd and 24th February 2021
  • 22nd and 23rd March 2021
  • 19th and 20th April 2021
  • 24th and 25th May 2021

We also offer flight training and a range of support packages for your operations manual.
